It took Apple 2 months to approve SkyFire but it only took them a few hours to pull the plug on this app that converts Flash content to HTML5. SkyFire was released this morning in the App Store but it’s already been taken down, for unknown reason.
If you look for SkyFire in the App Store right now, you’re probably going to get the same result as the screenshot above.
Why do you think SkyFire was taken down?
UPDATE: We now know why SkyFire is not available anymore… Read More

Although I’m not a developer, I have been able to play around extensively with iOS 4.2 on my iPad. Let me just reiterate the sentiments that it is indeed worth the hype. With new features like AirPlay, it’s understandable that that ability to switch your fonts in the Notes app is playing second fiddle to all of the other enhancements.
Although iOS 4.2 is right around the corner, Apple has been one-upped with the release of the jailbreak tweak, NotesFont. Not only does this tweak bring the ability to change fonts in the native Notes app, it offers a lot more fonts than what Apple is planning to offer…

It’s here folks. SkyFire is now available for download in the App Store. It was supposed to be released on Thursday but I guess Apple couldn’t wait to provide us with a Flash content converter.
In case you just woke up, SkyFire is a new application that will take Flash content and convert it into HTML5 so you can view it on your iPhone. As we said before, SkyFire won’t be able to convert all Flash content. Hulu videos for example won’t be able to be converted.
You can download SkyFire in the App Store for $2.99. If you do, please make sure to leave a comment and tell us all about it.

With the release of an advertisement dissing the iPhone 4 and AT&T’s network, you can pretty much squash any idea of the iPhone appearing on T-Mobile’s network anytime soon.
The video clip purposely takes Apple’s infamous “Mac versus PC” ads, and flips the script. It features an attractive female claiming to be a MyTouch4G, while a guy struggling to support another guy on piggyback claims to be an iPhone 4. Let the hilarity ensure…

So, 30 seconds just wasn’t enough for you decide whether or not you liked the latest Miley Cyrus record? Have no fear, the iTunes Store Team understands your needs for good, unadulterated, bubble gum pop… they’ve got your back.
Apple recently sent out a notice informing label representatives that they will be bumping up the music preview time in the United States by a whopping 60 seconds. That’s quite a lot when it seems like most songs these days are about 3 minutes of hook, and about 30 seconds of lyrics…

Just how useful can a ruler app be on the iPhone’s 3-inch screen? Well, I guess it’s pretty useful if you have an occupation requiring you to measuring a kitten’s pinky toes. And who doesn’t love measuring a kitten’s pinky toes?
If you need to measure anything of significance though, you’ll probably just want to stop being ridiculous and grab, you know, a real ruler…

I can’t say I’m a big fan of Sudoku, but Big Bad Sudoku Book has piqued my interest due to it being one of the first iPhone Apps in the App Store that touts full support for iOS 4.2. If that’s not proof that iOS 4.2 is mere hours or days away, then I don’t know what is.
Although iPhone users running iOS 4.1 already have access to Game Center, remember that our iPad toting friends currently do not, along with many other features like multitasking, and folders. If Big Bad Sudoku Book’s latest App Store approval is any indicator, I’d say that the wait is just about over.

Consumers rarely have the opportunity to see what life is like for the people that work in large factories around the world. However, some light has been shed as of late on what life is like behind the smoke stacks of certain industrial giants.
Foxconn, the manufacturer that Apple contracts to make iPhones, has been under the microscope lately over employee suicides. Recently, Gizmodo got an exclusive look at Foxconn’s factory in Shenzhen, China. The article focuses on the living conditions for the 420,000 workers…

With the release of iOS 4.2 just around the corner, everyone is wondering when and what kind of jailbreak we’ll be getting. Even though LimeRa1n and GreenPois0n can’t supposedly be patched without hardware modification, the risk of getting a tethered jailbreak still remains.
Comex brought up a bit of clarification about the iOS 4.2 jailbreak in a series of tweets. There is some good and some bad news… Read More

Everyone has their list of must have features for the iPhone 5, but a lot of them are of the obvious variety. Things like more storage space, a better camera, and more RAM. Boring!
Apple has always been a company that pushes the envelope, so it makes sense that the iPhone 5 could be a device that Apple is willing to take a gamble on. If you don’t adapt well to change, you just might want to take a deep breath before reading this…

Never mind the reasons why you want to hide some pictures, we’re just telling you this jailbreak app makes it easier to do. SwapCamRoll is an app for iOS 4 that essentially gives you two camera rolls on your iPhone. Only one is active at a time while the inactive one hides on the “flip side”, completely inaccessible on the phone until you activate SwapCamRoll. (You can navigate to either folder through SSH though).
So if you have some er, private pictures that you don’t want others to see when they’re scrolling through your photos, then you can create an entirely new camera roll that can be swapped out for the default. For some, it just might be the app you never knew you needed!
So how does it work? The app is pretty bare bones, but does have some options that may be confusing to new users. Read on for the breakdown:

I’ve always loved the way text messaging worked on the iPhone, and that love was increased with the advent of the jailbreak app BiteSMS. That app added just enough customization to the mix to make SMS messaging a truly enjoyable experience on the iPhone.
Of course, there are also plenty of tweaks available for SMS messaging as well, some better than others. MarkThatMessage is one such tweak that falls into the others category. Is it really necessary to know the exact time that I sent every single SMS message?

Kids these days. Back in my day, we were fortunate if we got one hot meal a day. Back in my day we had to walk 12 miles to school, in the snow, with no shoes! Back in my day we had to wait a whole month for an iPhone 4!
Well, well, well, what do we have here? It only took a hair over 5 months, but the iPhone 4 has now officially caught up with demand. In fact, if you wanted one today, Apple says they can have one shipped out to you within 24 hours. Now fess up. Who here still hasn’t ordered their iPhone 4?
